So, here's my take on things.
A: At the moment I'm taking a look at a completed story I wrote a couple of years ago to see what revisions I should make before sending it back out into the land of agents and editors. I also just began writing a new story, focusing on the character of Connor from my psychic detectives series.
Q: How does my work differ from others of its genre?
A: That's a tough one to answer. Every author has a unique voice, so while plots might seem similar, stories always vary from one another for that reason. All I can say is that my voice has been described as a little bit quirky, I try to insert humor, and I do a lot of research to make certain that — even though it might sound unusual — my story idea is at least plausible.
Q: Why do I write what I do?
A: I write the type of stories I enjoy reading. Simple as that.
Q: How does my writing process work?
A: I'm a fly by the seat of her pants writer. I'll research an idea. After that, I sit down, start writing, and it always seems to come together. It's rare if I plot ahead, but I have been doing more of that with my recent books. I also have three tremendously wonderful critique partners who help me along the way. Whenever I finish a chapter, I send it their way for feedback, which is invaluable. My Cps are Pamela Hearon, Abby Niles, and Cynthia D'Alba.
