6 reasons to read SPIRITED AWAY this Halloween!

It's the last post in my Halloween Reads week, and some might say I saved the best for last. Today, I give you a handful of awesome reasons to read SPIRITED AWAY, the latest release in my psychic detectives series.

The third book in my psychic detectives series, SPIRITED AWAY is a fun book to read this October (or anytime, really), because Halloween is almost here and who doesn't love a little ghost story at Halloween? Here are just a few reasons why you should buy a copy right now and start reading it…

No. 1. The pets are back! Abbott (the cat) and Costello (the goofy dog) and Charlie (the mischievous dog) in this series are once again up to their shenanigans. Spider is house- and pet-sitting the animals, and they aren't making it easy for her because they are doing what they do best – causing mischief! If you have pets, you'll probably get a kick out of this book simply reading about these three alone.

No. 2. Spider is the heroine of this book. I know what you're thinking. The heroine's name is Spider?!? Weirdo. Well, yes, she is. She is also awesome. And funny. Or so I like to think. She's also quirky, smart, geeky, sarcastic and sometimes adorkable. And she manages to get herself into trouble without even trying, uh, a few times.

No. 3. And the hero of the story, Noah West, seems to always come to her rescue when she's at her worst. Since he's a total hottie by Spider's standards, that makes it even more embarrassing (and kind of funnier..he he). He's also very mysterious, which makes him even more fascinating. Just sayin'.

No. 4. There are funnies, but there is also a ghost mystery here. Nothing too spooky, but it's up to Spider to help Noah rid his house of the threatening spirits harassing him. To do so, they must discover what happened there in the past, and nothing is ever that easy. Plus, there's more to the haunting than it seems.

No. 5. Feelings. This book has them. While they might seem like complete opposites, Spider and Noah end up connecting in ways neither ever expected, and it's kind of emotional at times. Or so reviewers have said.

See what I did just then. Sorry. Couldn't resist. :-)

No. 6. Speaking of reviewers, 100 percent of the 10 people who have reviewed it so far on Goodreads liked this book!

Here's what they said.

"May be because I love anything to do with animals, and love books with animals in them... May be because Spider was a computer nerd... No matter what, I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first two." ✯✯✯✯

"This is my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it. A tough but vulnerable heroine with lots of crazy situations and a very hot neighbor that always seems to catch her at her worst. They end up thrown together as they face paranormal events. This provides plenty of humor and mystery. Laugh out loud funny, but totally engaging mystery." ✯✯✯✯✯

"This book will keep you hooked from start to finish. It will make you laugh and cry and everything in between." ✯✯✯✯✯
There you have it. Thank you for stopping by to check out why my books make for great reads this time of year. In case you're interested, here's the book cover and synopsis and a little bonus for anyone who's read the story!

***

Socially awkward Emma “Spider” Fisher prefers her laptop to people, so she’s more than happy to oblige her boss when he asks her to pet- and housesit while he honeymoons in London.

It doesn’t take long for accident-prone Spider to lose a dog, get locked out of the house, and set off the house alarm. Thankfully, her hot new neighbour is more than happy to come to her rescue.

But Noah West is a mystery to Spider—and one she intends to solve. Because either the man is seriously living in a haunted house, or he’s a serial killer. Either way, he’s a total hottie, so Spider will have to guard her heart while she and the animals sniff out the truth.
